About the Event

An Anatolian Story Under the Baton of İbrahim Yazıcı: EDUSA

The ancient land of Anatolia awakens to narrate a treasure beyond wealth and power. Under the baton of İbrahim Yazıcı, EDUSA "An Anatolian Story" brings the universal justice and immortality of culture, rising from Sard, the capital of Lydia, to the stage.

This opera, shaped by the modern tones of Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı and the profound narrative of esteemed author İskender Pala, presents a panorama of civilizations spanning from the Hittites to the Phrygians. Transformed into a visual feast under the direction of Caner Akın, the piece invites audiences to contemplate "the only thing time and money cannot consume: culture."

Highlights:

  • Conductor İbrahim Yazıcı: The maestro’s interpretation that merges the auditory memory of Anatolia with modern orchestration.

  • Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı: The composer who reconstructs traditional motifs with a cinematic opera language.

  • İskender Pala: The librettist blending our civilization's history with a dramatic narrative.
