İbrahim Yazıcı sits on the preliminary round jury of the first Pehlivanian International Conducting Competition. Held in Bled on 7–9 November, the round sees candidates conducting with two pianos and ends with the selection of 18 finalists.
From 10 to 14 November the finalists compete with POA Festival Orchestra and RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra in Stravinsky, Mozart, opera and concerto rounds, leading to the final concert and awards ceremony on 14 November. The Grand Prize is $50,000, with $75,000 in total prizes.
The competition rounds are streamed live on YouTube and on Gramophone, the official media partner.
