About the Event

Under the Baton of İbrahim Yazıcı: A World Premiere of EDUSA

The ancient soil of Anatolia awakens this time to tell a tale that transcends money and power. EDUSA "An Anatolian Story", which comes to life under the conduction of İbrahim Yazıcı, brings the stage to a universal justice rising from Sard, the capital of Lydia, and the immortality of culture.

Shaped by the modern tones of Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı and the profound narration of master writer İskender Pala, this opera offers a panorama of civilizations stretching from the Hittites to the Phrygians. Transformed into a visual feast by the direction of Caner Akın, the work invites the audience to reflect on "culture, the only thing that time and money cannot consume."

Highlights:

  • Conductor İbrahim Yazıcı: Under the maestro's interpretation, who combines the sound memory of Anatolia with modern orchestration.

  • Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı: The composer reconstructs traditional motifs with a cinematic opera language.

  • İskender Pala: The librettist who blends our civilization history with a dramatic narrative.
