National Music - S.Yalçın

"Our National Music" concert series is an institutional project that focuses on Turkey’s polyphonic music memory and works of contemporary composers. In this segment of the series, the compositions of composer and conductor Serdar Yalçın are performed, accompanied by the composer himself on piano. Serdar Yalçın is a figure who blends the tones of traditional Turkish music with Western music forms in a modern line, making significant contributions to Turkish opera and vocal literature.

In this event held in the historic atmosphere of the Süreyya Opera House, the composer's works are interpreted by soloists of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. The program holds significance for the representation of local compositions at universal standards.
